Designwolf was commissioned to play a major role in the renewal of Museon’s customer journey. From arrival and parking to visiting the exhibitions, measures were taken to update the museum. The restaurant is also an important part of this customer journey.

The Museon building is an entity difficult to ignore. As such, there’s no point fighting it. The entire building is built on a grid of squares 1.1 m x 1.1 m. These dimensions are also used in the interior design. However, it was important to Museon that there was a warmer atmosphere in all general purpose areas.

The client’s requirements for the restaurant were met by combining the (cool) grid with warmer materials, rich details and a vertical garden. Fixed furniture created fixed spatial logistics. Visitors enter the restaurant and select their own food and drinks at a number of buffets. After paying, visitors have options on where to dine. They can sit anonymously at a long table, briefly at the window bar or with others at smaller tables. Visitors separate their waste themselves in a new disposal area.
